L’album è stato rimasterizzato dalle tape originali analogiche e ad esso saranno aggiunti due dischi: il primo contenente le B-sides dell’epoca, compresa una cover dal vivo di Tennessee Border di Hank Williams, alcune versioni alternative e cinque tracce prodotte da Beck. Il terzo cd, denominato The Red Demos, contiene versioni primitive delle canzoni dell’album e l’inedito strumentale Monkeys Have It Easy.
I fan dei White Stripes dovranno abbonarsi alla Third Man Records entro il 31 luglio per ricevere la ristampa di Icky Thump.
