Bob Dylan, a novembre il nuovo libro “The Philosophy of Modern Song”
Nuovo libro in arrivo per Bob Dylan in cui analizza 66 canzoni (e tra queste c’è anche Volare di Domenico Modugno)
Bob Dylan pubblicherà a novembre The Philosophy of Modern Song. Si tratta del terzo libro per lui dopo il romanzo Tarantula del 1971 e dopo l’autobiografia datata 2004 Chronicles – Volume 1.
In questo nuovo lavoro Bob Dylan analizza 66 canzoni. A marzo, come riportato anche da Variety, si era parlato di un libro da considerare come “una lezione di perfezionamento sull’arte e l’arte della scrittura delle canzoni”, in quanto Dylan “analizza quella che chiama la trappola delle rime facili, spiega come l’aggiunta di una singola sillaba può sminuire una canzone, e spiega anche come il bluegrass sia in relazione con l’heavy metal”. Infine si afferma che i saggi “riguardano apparentemente la musica, sono in realtà meditazioni e riflessioni sulla condizione umana”. Nella lunga lista trovano spazio brani scritti e/o resi famosi da Elvis Presley, Ray Charles e Frank Sinatra per un libro che sarà edito da Simon & Schuster e per il quale al momento non è prevista una traduzione in italiano. A proposito della nostra lingua, trova spazio tra le 66 canzoni Nel blu dipinto di blu, conosciuta anche come Volare, scritta da Franco Migliacci e Domenico Modugno, e resa celebre da quest’ultimo in tutto il mondo dopo la vittoria al Festival di Sanremo del 1958.
