Si intitola On Air – Live At The BBC Volume 2 la compilation in uscita il prossimo 12 novembre. Sarà pubblicata sia in versione doppio cd che in doppio vinile da 180 grammi e conterrà in tutto 63 brani (40 canzoni e 23 fra interviste e dialoghi in studio).
Tra le cover presenti in scaletta, Beautiful Dreamer di Stephen Foster, Lucille di Little Richard e una versione di I’m Talking About You di Chuck Berry cantata da John Lennon. Tra i “parlati”, invece, si potranno ascoltare diverse interviste ai Fab Four registrate nel novembre 1965 e nel maggio 1966 per il programma Pop Profile.
La raccolta è stata curata da Kevin Howlett e Mike Heatley, e tutti i brani sono stati masterizzati da Guy Massey e Alex Wharton negli studi di Abbey Road. Stando al New York Times, buona parte dei brani sono stati registrati a porte chiuse e sono dunque «privi delle urla isteriche che caratterizzano anche i concerti dei Beatles registrati professionalmente».
